All cases that come through the Children's
Advocacy Center must be referred through law enforcement or Child
Protective Services in Johnson County, or surrounding counties without
Advocacy Centers.

If you suspect a child is being abused, you are
legally liable to report to your local law enforcement agency or to
Child Protective Services. If a report is made in good faith,
there is no risk of reporters being prosecuted when abuse is ruled
out. When you call the CPS hotline, you may remain anonymous,
but please report if you know a child is in danger. |
